Editorial wedding photography in New York City — city weddings, courthouse elopements and rooftop receptions, shot the way a magazine would shoot them.

Recent frames from city weddings, courthouse elopements and rooftop receptions across Brooklyn and Manhattan.

About

About
me

I photograph the day as it happens — the nerves before the ceremony, the walk to the reception, the roof at dusk.

Black and white portrait of Ondine Reyes with a camera over her shoulder.
A loose bouquet of white garden roses and dried grasses against a dark wall.

I'm Ondine Reyes, a Brooklyn photographer working in New York City and wherever the day takes us. I shoot with a small kit, no podium, and an eye trained on the frames a magazine would keep — the half-second before the kiss, the hand on a grandmother's arm, the light coming off the water towers at seven in the evening.

Weddings here don't need a ballroom to be beautiful. A courthouse on a Tuesday morning, a stoop in Bed-Stuy, a roof in Williamsburg with the skyline doing the decorating — that's the work I want to be doing.

Weddings, elopements and portraits, photographed quietly and edited in warm, film-like colour.
